Working meetings with LAG Governing Board representatives continue to focus on capacity building
Supported by the European Union in Georgia, within the framework of the “Green Guria” project, representatives of the Governing Boards of the Ozurgeti, Chokhatauri, and Lanchkhuti Local Action Groups (LAGs) held another working meeting.
The primary focus of the meeting was to strengthen LAG capacities and define their strategic role in the process. Participants agreed that fostering the development of social entrepreneurship in the region through LAG initiatives and their direct involvement is a priority.
During the working process, the parties discussed specific steps for how Local Action Groups can promote the development of social entrepreneurship in the Guria region and enhance their role in supporting environmental and social innovations.
It was emphasized that the active participation of LAGs ensures that planned activities are maximally tailored to local needs, ultimately contributing to the sustainable economic development of the region.
The meeting was held within the framework of the EU-funded “Green Guria” project, which is implemented by CENN together with partner organizations: the Young Pedagogues’ Union, the Institute of Democracy, and the Keda LAG.
