The Second Meeting of the Stakeholder Advisory Board of the EU-Supported “Green Guria” Project Was Held

As part of the EU-funded project “GREEN GURIA: Supporting Local Democracy and Rural Development for Inclusive and Sustainable Green Growth”, with the support of the European Union, CENN and partner organizations hosted the second meeting of the Stakeholder Advisory Board in Ozurgeti.

The aim of the meeting was to summarize the activities implemented and the results achieved within the framework of the “Green Guria” project, as well as to facilitate the exchange of information and recommendations.

During the meeting, representatives of UNDP, the Anti-Violence Network of Georgia, and the Innovations and Reforms Center discussed ongoing rural development initiatives within the ENPARD IV framework.

The meeting also included a discussion session, where participants had the opportunity to address the challenges and future plans related to the ENPARD IV program.

The hybrid meeting was attended by Ketevan Khutsishvili, Programme Manager for Emergency Management, Civil Protection, Rural Development, and Intellectual Property at the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, as well as representatives of local development groups from Guria, civil society, and other interested stakeholders.

CENN implements the project in cooperation with partner organisations, the Young Pedagogues’ Union, the Institute of Democracy, and the Local Action Group of KEDA (LAG), supported by the European Union within the European Neighbourhood Program for Rural and Agricultural Development ENPARD IV. The project aims to reduce poverty and improve the economic and social environment, as well as the living conditions of vulnerable communities, through civic engagement, inclusive rural development, and green growth.
