With the support of the European Union and Austrian Development Cooperation, a civic education camp was held for girls and women living in the Guria region

With the support of the European Union and Austrian Development Cooperation, CENN, together with the Young Pedagogues’ Union, hosted a civic education camp for girls and women living in the Guria region.

The civic education camp aimed to empower women and girls in Guria and support the projects they initiated to promote positive change in their communities.

Participants attended thematic lectures on natural resources and environmental priorities in Guria. They also took part in practical workshops on campaign planning and developed campaigns aimed at identifying and addressing social, economic, and environmental challenges in their municipalities.

The best environmental campaign ideas developed during the camp will receive funding, giving participants the opportunity to put their initiatives into practice and increase their impact on community development.

The camp was held within the framework of the EU-funded project “Green Guria – Supporting Local Democracy and Rural Development for Inclusive and Resilient Green Growth” and the “Green Caucasus” project, supported by the Austrian Development Agency.
